Photo shoot with Two Girly Girls and 100 % Boy

Today we took the kids to get pictures made before Molly goes home tomorrow. This picture sums up the experience. We have had a great visit with Molly and can't believe she goes home tomorrow. We were able to get some cute picture I'll post more later.

I'm really behind on my blogging, but am waiting for pictures of Mom's party and Westley's birthday. I will post more about this week later.

It's going to be 100 plus the rest of the week. Hope everyone stays cool.

The Begining of a Celebration

We Celebrated my Mom's 80th Birthday to day. Here are some pictures of the food tables. The desert table consisting of chocolate fountain and fruit, chocolate sheet cake, birthday cake and cupcakes, and refreshing punch to wash it down.
Next is the buffe table. Potato bar, gazpacho, tortellini and tomato kabobs.
Moving on down the table there were veggies and dip, cheese ball and crackers.
The table ended with spiral cut ham, smoked brisket, and assorted rolls.
We had a great time. And I had a lot of help from my sister-n-law Doris. She came early and helped me do last min organizing and preparations. My cousins were there to help with the decorations. Thanks everyone for your help in making this day special.
Judy
PS. I will post more pictures of the party as I receive them. I didn't take very many of my own. I was a little bit busy.

LAND OF THE UNKNOWN

We have a really big weekend coming up and were putting some stuff in the attic. You know trying to clean up before company. It's my mom's 80th birthday, so we have a big party planned and a lot of family coming to help her celebrate. This is what I saw as I came around the corner. I just had to take time to share it with everyone.
Hey, Samantha you are not going to believe what I found. Come on up here. It's really cool.
Ok, Westley I'm coming. What's up there? Looks like all kinds of stuff. I had no idea Nana and PawPaw had so many treasures. Help me I want a better look.
All right be very very careful this could be dangerous.
Boy! could we have fun up here. Look I think I see Daddy's Transformers and Heeman.
Oh! I think Nana found us. Now we have to get down. Maybe she'll leave the ladder down again and we can sneak back up here. I want to get a better look.
These two are trouble when they get together. They are a Fun Couple most of the time that is.
Love ya, Nana
PS. I plan on posting pictures and details of the party. Catch ya later.

She was a loving caring wife, mother, sister, sister in law, aunt, and friend. Click to hear one of her favorite song Una Paloma Blanca which discribes her zest for life. We miss you.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

This is my Mom. We all had an early dinner at a favorite Mexican Food Restaurant to celebrate the day.

Westley is always glad to see his Mammaw. Here he is with a big hugItalicand Happy Mother's Day for her. He has a special bond with her, much like his daddy did when he was that age. It's so special for both of them.

Oh,Man! look at little Miss Samantha peel that orange. Believe me when I say, you better not get between that girl and her orange.

Now here I am with Westley and Samantha getting a little Nana attention and PawPaw didn't want to be left out. Look at Samantha. She sure looks serious.

To be continued on next post. I couldn't get all the pictures to download all on one post.

PART TWO

This is my handsome son Cody and beautiful daughter-in-law Annie.
Happy Mother's Day, Annie.
Doesn't our little miracle boy Westley look pretty and pink? You might think that it's a strange way to describe a little boy, but pink is a beautiful gift to all of us.
I can't leave this prissy little girl out. She is a real joy. All most always has a smile or an opinion. Look at that little ponytail and her daddy's brown eyes. Did I mention she is always ready to eat?

There you have it. This is what I did for Mother's Day. I have to say it was a great day. How could it not be when you are surrounded by the ones you love and loves you?
Hope everyone had a Happy Mother's Day

An Afternoon with My Guy

I had to work this morning, so I picked Westley up around noon. We went to get a snack before heading to see Anna. Anna is my friend that does my hair. She offered to cut Westley's hair today when I went for my appointment. Well, Westley was such a good boy. He read her a book and told stories. Then he climbed up in her chair and set while Anna cut his hair. He was all smiles. I has so proud of him for being such a big boy.

Well, do to equipment malfunction (it certainly wasn't the operator) we don't have a picture of the finished results.
We headed off to early vote. He was so excised. I told him we were going to go exercise our right to vote. He ran right up to the voting box saying come on Nana we got to exercise and vote. Here he is 4yrs old and ready to vote. He even got a sticker (I voted early). Westley I Love YOU.

We then went to see MamMaw to show off our new dos. He loves going to see my Mom. Next a quick trip to the Mall. Mom had a coupon for JC Penny, so we took her and waited in the car. As we left the Mall he says,"Go this way. Us go see Toys R Us. "As I turned the other way he say,"Oh! no Toys R Us, Nana. The other way." Tell me how can you refuse such cuteness. Nana promised a trip to Toys R Us. Guess, that means another day with my guy I can't wait.
Thanks, Westley Nana had a fun day and I hope you did, too.

Fun and Flowers

What a good day we had yesterday. The day started of by having breakfast with our kids and nephew. I left my camera at home so no pictures. Shilo was here to do a presentation at Texas Tech. He was here last February for the same thing. He had a really busy schedule, but it was good to see him at breakfast. After breakfast we brought the kids home with us and the FUN began.

Here we are planing flowers with PawPaw. Hold on just a minute its not time to water just yet. Let's get the soil packed around the plants. I think it's time to water,PawPaw. OK! Little Princess go ahead and water your flower pot.

Look! PawPaw I'm watering the flowers around the waterfall. OMG! I better but some water in the pond it's almost empty.

Well, it seems I've posted this cute picture twice. Don't know how I did it and don't know how to undo it so double your pleasure.
Here I come Westley. I'll help you put water in the pond. Maybe we can get PawPaw to get the waterfall running. Then we can play in the water. That's fun!
Thanks, Samantha for your help.
Now let's just set back and enjoy a little noggin. I luv you Samantha. I luv you Westley.

We ended the day with chicken and burgers on the grill. Just a nice day all the way around.
I'm a little behind on some of my pictures so maybe I'll just post a hodgepodge of things.
Thanks for checking in. Hope you have a blessed week.

A Beautiful Day for a Ride

Hey, Samantha isn't this fun? I've been so excited to ride in the old car. You know, PawPaw has been restoring this car long before we were born and it's almost as old as Nana. It's so cool. I just love to fill the wind blowing in my hair.

What do you mean fun? I'm going to have to get my hair done after getting so wind blown. Westley, I think the wind is making me thirsty.
Oh Boy!!! there is nothing like a milk jug and a make over after an afternoon of riding in a convertible.

Today was a beautiful day so we strapped the car seats in our 55 Sunliner and took the kids to get ice cream at a little shop in the neighborhood. What a great ending to a good weekend.

What is it about Bubbles and Kids

Today we didn't get much playtime in. Yesterday was cold and wet. So it was a cool brisk day and we weren't able to stay out very long. We were able to get in a little bubble time. PawPaw took these picture while I blew bubbles, but that doesn't mean I'm the one full of hot air. I just have strong lungs although he might disagree.
Westley, is almost dancing as he chases the bubbles with his mouth wide open trying to catch them.

Samantha just wants to hold one.
Here she almost got to hold one. They are so fun to watch.
I'm glad Nana and PawPaw can almost always find something fun to do.
Have to keep em coming back for more.
Thanks for checking in.

DRIVING 101

Come on Sammy let's go for a joy ride. I just finished my first lesson in Driving 101, I think I'm ready. Oh!! here comes PawPaw. He wants to give me another lesson in watching where I'm going and keeping my hands on the wheel. I think I'm a good driver. Don't you?

Hi, PawPaw ready for another lesson? I think I'm doing great. Maybe I could work on holding onto the steering wheel.

PawPaw, I like to watch Samantha when we're driving. She is so funny and giggles so cute. I'll try not to run over anything, but you know I'm not even five yet.

Thanks PawPaw for the lesson and being so much fun. XOXO

Girly Girl

What are little girls made of ??? Sugar and spice and everything nice. Well, I can tell you our little girl is sweet as sugar, sassy and spicier than a jalapeno, and just nice to have around. She loves her baby dolls, big brother, and being a girl.

I found these little ponytail holders and sponge rollers yesterday. So......, today we tried them out.
Here is a close up of her tiny ponytail. When it fell out she brought it to me saying,"Bo Bo." I thought I'd better try to get a close up before we lost it again.

It's no secret Nana has just as much fun playing girly girl as she does.

Have a wonderful weekend. Until next play date.

BEWARE OF TEA PARTIES

I opened this e-mail this morning and thought it went with yesterdays post. LOL
Enjoy Judy
Cup of Tea .
One day my mother was out and my dad was in charge of me. I was maybe 2 1/2 years old. Someone had given me a little 'tea set' as a gift and it was one of my favorite toys. Daddy was in the living room engrossed in the evening news when I brought Daddy a little cup of 'tea', which was just water. After several cups of tea and lots of praise for such yummy tea, my Mom came home.My Dad made her wait in the living room to watch me bring him a cup of tea, because it was 'just the cutest thing!' My Mom waited, and sure enough, here I come down the hall with a cup of tea for Daddy and she watches him drink it up. Then she says, (as only a mother would know.. :)'Did it ever occur to you that the only place she can reach to get water is the toilet?
You know I can just see our little girl doing that and her PawPaw drinking it with pride. LOL and roll in the floor funny!!!

FUN CAMP

Today was a day of fun and joy. Westley and Samantha spent a few hours at PawPaw's Fun Camp this afternoon. They played in the backyard, popped popcorn, had a tea party, and had a horse ride.

Well I'll just let you see why I called it PawPaw's Fun Camp.

This is the kids having popcorn and pretend tea after play in the backyard. Their PawPaw built them that table. We got the Handy Manny chair and Tinker Bell chair for their Valentines.

Here they are just about to get their PawPaw down. He absolutely loves it. Each time they leave he always says, "Today was the best day." He thinks their is nothing better. You know he's right. There isn't anything better than those little voices and laughs along with a few hugs and kisses.

Who would have thought 36 years ago we would be having so much fun being Nana and PawPaw.

Have a Grand Day

EATING THE RAINBOW

Yesterday I went to the doctor for my yearly physical.
My blood pressure was high, my cholesterol was high,
I'd gained some weight, and I didn't feel so hot.My
doctor said eating right doesn't have tobe complicated
and it would solve my physicalproblems. He said just
think in colors...Fill your plate with bright colors...
greens, yellows, reds, etc.I went right home and ate an
entire bowl of :

And sure enough, I felt better immediately.
I never knew eating rightcould be so easy.

This is my RAINBOW BREAKFAST

An omelet made in the microwave with 2 eggs green pepper, tomato, and a sprinkle of cheese I also had 3 sausage links and half of a small avocado Ending with a fruit cup of strawberries, blueberries, apple, and orange. I starting eating 3 protein a day and the rainbow. I thought I would try to blog my progress. Wish me luck and I'll keep you posted.

Have a great day and remember eat the Rainbow ...
